I had been working on roofs for over 10 years when we made the decision to get solar panels installed.
It was good for a while. We got our first bill after 2 months and had already saved $387. Things were looking good.
Then came our second bill 3 months later. I had to check twice because I didn’t believe my eyes. The bill was more expensive than before we had the solar panels installed!
It made no sense. Our investment into solar energy had zero returns after only 5 months. I checked the energy output on our solar panels, and sure enough, they were 27% less than usual.
